The Governor will be guest speaker at this event, and St Matthew’s Church are delighted to host this special concert celebrating Albury’s new reputation as a cultural centre and place of fine music.

Important details about the concert:

When: Tuesday 23rd May, 7.00-8.00pm

No pre-booking, arrive early for the best seats 🙂

The concert will feature Australia’s most in-demand mezzo soprano, Sally-Anne Russell, who was the featured soloist for the inaugural festival last November. She has built quite a following in the Border region due to her flamboyance on stage, incredible vocal skill and passion as a tutor for up and coming performers. Also featured in this concert will be performances by Albury’s own award winning Chamber Music performers, Helena Kernaghan & Kaori Sparks. As founding and current Artistic Director of the Albury Chamber Music Festival, Helena Kernaghan is delighted to perform as part of the Festival Launch concert. She will be joined by fellow violinist of the Orpheus Piano Trio, Kaori Sparks, and a very special guest appearance from local up-and-coming musical star, Caleb Murray, performing selected gems from the Piano Trio repertoire.

Local organist James Flores will perform on the mighty Letourneau organ that features in St Matthew’s Church. He will be performing alongside local music student Bailey Cardwell (piano). This combination of established and up-and-coming performers captures the true spirit of the ACMF and will make for a truly unique concert event.
