Tenor Shanul Sharma, flanked by Katherine Jardine and Fr Peter from St Matthew’s just after he was awarded “Highly Commended” in The Herald Sun Aria. His vocal fireworks, in one of his Arias by Rossini singing ten “high C’s” brought thunderous applause from the packed Hamer Hall in Melbourne.
Shanul returns to Milan, being heard by European Opera houses before returning in November to thrill a local crowd at Albury Chamber Music Festival.
This year Shanul won the prestigious Pesaro International Opera Competition in Rossini’s home town. Being a Herald Sun Aria Finalist is another feather in his operatic cap at the beginning of what is shaping up as a glittering international career.
The Albury Chamber Music Festival will be running from November 17 – 19. You can purchase your tickets online to ensure you won’t miss this fabulous event!
