Many thanks to the many representatives of the Albury Wodonga Islamic association who have contacted St. Matthew’s expressing their sorrow and outrage at the slaughter of Christians in Sri Lanka .

The Easter message is that death and destruction will not have the last word and despite the violence that intends to divide it is having the opposite effect and already our invitation to join the community at St. Matthew’s this Sunday at 9am remembering those killed during worship in Sri Lanka has been accepted by our friends at the mosque just as we were invited with Fr. Martin from the Catholic Church to join the Islamic congregation for Friday prayers after the Christchurch mosque massacre.
