Ruxi Geng began piano lessons in China at the age of 5. In 2006, Ruxi and family migrated to Australia. In 2009, Ruxi enrolled for piano lessons at the Murray Conservatorium under the tutelage of Aurora Flores. During this period from the age of 10 onwards, Ruxi exhibited her utmost potential at the piano. She was very keen, diligent and a fast learner indeed. Being a fast learner, she grasps things very quickly and puts them into practice with great ease. Her teacher found her to be a pupil of considerable musical talent.

In her last 7 years of music tuition, Ruxi managed to attain success in every AMEB piano examination she undertook. From Grade 4 to Grade 7, she received Honours (A) and for Grade 8 and Certificate of Performance, she received High Distinction (A+). And the last examination for AMusA on which she received an AWARD was undertaken in 2015. In addition to this, Ruxi also managed to achieve numerous successes at the Albury/Wodonga and Wagga Wagga Eisteddfodau. Some of Ruxi’s major awards over the years are as follows:

For HSC Music Examinations, Ruxi received 99% (Equal 3rd with another student in Wagga Wagga) overall in the State of NSW.

In the near future, Ruxi’s goal is to sit the LMusA Piano Performance.

In 2018, Ruxi will be pursuing the Bachelor of Music Degree under the Scholarship programme at ANU School of Music, Canberra.
